Trabzonspor in the International Arena: Türk Firma Rehberi

First UEFA Participation

Trabzonspor participated in UEFA for the first time in the 1975-76 season when it became the league champion. Its greatest achievement in UEFA was reaching the third round.

European Firsts

Its first match in Europe was against the Icelandic team IA Akranes. The first player to score a goal was Necmi Perekli. Although it could not avoid elimination in subsequent matches, it defeated Liverpool, one of England's respected clubs, causing them their only defeat, which is part of Trabzonspor News.

Successful Matches

The Trabzonspor Football Team has two distinct victories. The first of these was a 6-0 win against KS Vllaznia in 2007, scoring 6 goals without conceding any. The other high-scoring victory was a 7-2 win against FC Barcelona in the 1990-91 season.
