Computer Numerical Control

Computer Numerical Control

A CNC machine is a computer-controlled carving machine and, generally speaking, it reads G-code which tells the machine how to move, what feed rate to use, what spindle speed to use, what cutting tool should be in the spindle, etc. The cutting tool in the spindle of the machine cuts away material (usually metal) and creates the desired shape. The removed material is called a "chip" and is usually recycled.

CNC and Programming

In most cases a CNC machine is programmed by a programmer using CAM software which uses software to apply tool paths to a 3D or 2D model of the part that they want to make. After the programmer is finished programming, the program is fed into a post-processor which will convert the CAM program into G-code that the machine can read. The G-code is loaded into a CNC machine along with all the necessary cutting tools, raw material, and work-holding needed to hold the raw material. A machinist will then put the machine into automatic mode and start the program to make the part.

Production with Wood CNC

1. Furniture: wooden doors, cabinets, plate, office and wood furniture, table, chair, door and windows.

2. Wood products: sound box, game cabinets, computer desks, sewing machines table, trappings of hardware.

3. Plate processing: insulation piece, plastic chemical components, PCB, car body inner decoration and other carbon mixed compounds.

4. Decoration industry: engraving and milling in plastics and soft metals such as acrylic, PVC, MDF, artificial stone, organic glass, copper, aluminum plate.
