Many Changes Have Been Made for a Safer World
According to the latest laws, and at the same time, it is forbidden to induce suicide, and to prevent children from accessing unwanted and inappropriate sites, as stated in Law No. 5237 of the Turkish Penal Code. Additionally, the detection, interception, and evaluation and recording of signal information of communications made via telecommunication channels are carried out within the institution through Article 7 of Law No. 2559 on the Duties and Powers of the Police. Furthermore, it is carried out by the Ministry of Telecommunication, established directly under the head of the institutions.
Activities in the Internet Environment are Under Control
The Ministry of Telecommunication is also reflected in new laws regarding Law No. 5651 on the regulations made in the internet environment and at the same time the fight against crimes processed through these publications. Again, it is essential to detect the content in the internet environment and to prevent activities and publications that constitute crimes within the scope of the law. New regulations are provided in separate regulations within the framework of legislation regarding the establishment, duties, and authorities of the Ministry of Communication.
